PRAMUN

Bryce & I took 15 students to Prague for 6 days; actually we are still here, we head home tomorrow.  Prague is one of my favorite European cities.  I've been pleased that the kids have loved Prague.  We even got to see some snow, something that most of my Moroccan students do not get to see very often.  It only took just a little dusting to get them super excited.

The 200 students from outside of Prague all stayed in the same hotel so the kids really got the chance to spend a lot of time together.  The conference was smaller than the one we attended in Italy and many of the schools brought younger, inexperienced delegates.  Our students had more experience than the majority and were successful in debating and in the resolution process.  We also had the opportunity to visit a lot of the city and to learn a great deal about Czech history.  It is pretty amazing how well the Czech Republic has done since the end of communism in 1989.  We were proud of our student and it is exciting to see how much they have grown since we started MUN last year.  It continues to prove what a worthwhile program it is to help students develop socially, analytically and intellectually.
