I went to the American military base last weekend to watch our boys play there final soccer match. They placed second in the tournament. It was a good game. The advantage of going to the base is being able to eat at the canteen which has some American food. You can get pizza with real pepperoni or a bacon cheeseburger. I was also delighted to get Baskin and Robbins ice cream. Turkish ice cream is okay, but it's definitely not like ice cream from home. A lot of people came out to watch the game. We are a pretty close knit community.
