| My Sophomores, a large portion of the delegation |
Last weekend we took 25 of our students to Rabat for the 2nd annual Moroccan Model United Nations. We represented 5 countries: Austria, Japan, Russia, India and South Sudan. We were proud to have two Security Council seats and also represent the newest nation to the UN. For over half of our group this was their first MUN experience. I was especially proud of my sophomores. They will be a very hard group to leave when the time comes.
Bryce and I go to all the MUN Conferences, but we needed a third chaperone for this trip, which was hard to find because the conference was over part of our school break. One my delegate's mother, who also works at the school, volunteered to go. She did a great job as she is one of those organized kind of people who helps me count and make sure I have not lost any children. It was also kind of gratifying to have someone out of our MUN circle see what actually happens at MUN and realize how great our students are.
