Produce Delight
Just had to brag a little about my purchase at the market on Saturday. While the produce in Turkey was fresh and enjoyable, during the winter especially, there was not a lot of variety. Due to our Mediterranean climate here, we have nice fresh produce year round that is locally grown. Though I find most food here to be relatively expensive for a developing nation, the produce is cheap. I got all of this for about $7, and it tasted yummy! There are peppers, two types of lettuce, peas, carrots, tomatoes, fresh mint, celery, potatoes and clementines. I know having your own garden is cheaper, and nothing tastes better than tomatoes from my Grandma's garden, yet I'm still very impressed with the produce here.
