Friday night was lots of fun. Twelve high school girls came to our apartment for a movie and dinner. We ordered pizza and watched Win a Date with Tad Hamilton. Our house was full of laughter. I know I've never laughed that much at that movie before. I have such great students. And what a mix! Just in this picture we have people from Italy, the Philippines, Canada, USA, Macedonia and South Korea. The biggest praise of this week has been the return of our heat. It only took 8 Turkish men to finally figure out the problem with our kombi. Which actually wasn't a problem with our kombi, but rather with the government issued box that controls the gas outside of our apartment. Our hot water is also working, but it's rather temperamental. The only way to get consistent hot water is to turn the water down to a trickle. So taking a shower has become a fine balancing act. It's worth the dance as long as we have heat. I still believe that once we stop having to run the heat all the time, the water will work better. We didn't have any problem with the hot water till winter. Spring is almost here!
