No matter where I go, Turkey will always be close to my heart. Needless to say whenever they are in the news, I am drawn to read about their current events. I am always amazed at how progressive Turkey is compared to other Middle Eastern countries, and even how much Turkey changed in the four years I was there. That being said, Turkey has been changing a lot this year. They seem to be moving further away from the secular roots that Ataturk worked so hard to establish.
