Yes it is worth it

There are many days as a teacher when you wonder, are you getting through to your students; here I think that most days.  But then there are days like today when another teacher shared with me what one of my students wrote in her journal.  Their assignment was to write what was the best thing about being in 6th grade; not surprisingly, most of them chose soccer. 

"The best thing about being in 6th grade is that in Social Studies we do some fun things, not like last year, last year was very difficult and boring in our social studies class and I hated it. But now I love my social studies class."

It is worth it!
